		<description>As ever, I agree with your analysis Gerry. However, I wonder if the comment you make about &quot;who calls the referendum&quot; being a crucial factor doesn&#039;t also impact on the question as to whether 2 votes would be good or bad? There is an argument that, if the whole process is led by the Scottish Government, then two votes gives the Independence agenda opportunity... opportunity for wider engagement, longer mass imagining, more experimentation and testing the water. If the process is led by the UK government, then, of course, the same advantages then go to the arguments for the status quo.</description>

		<description>Thanks Gerry, for another insightful commentary on one more bump on our rocky road to independence.  You make a very convincing case for one vote, and quite rightly so.  We either want independence or we don&#039;t.  My sense is that we will only have one more Scottish referendum and this time on Scotland&#039;s terms - no more moving the goal posts - and we need to have the debate beforehand on all the issues, including the terms and conditions.  There will be no guarantees written into the small print though, other than that the future state of our nation will be in our hands.</description>
